Coffee consists of 98 per cent water. Accordingly, its perfect quality is essential for a perfect coffee result. With CLARIS Smart, JURA is revolutionising water filtration. For the first time, a fully automatic machine* communicates permanently with the filter thanks to modern RFID technology (RFID = Radio-frequency Identification). It recognises whether a filter is inserted and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It continuously collects information on filter utilisation and reports when the capacity is exhausted. This not only makes changing the filter easier than ever, it also allows CLARIS Smart to maximise its effectiveness.
Suitable for all tap water
CLARIS Smart works according to the professional upflow principle and always filters exactly the amount of water that is needed for preparation. Thanks to the ground-breaking formula, the filter cartridges are ideal for any tap water worldwide. The customised granulate always filters limescale to an optimum level (even with low water hardness) and reduces all harmful substances more efficiently than ever before. Minerals and fluorides, which act as important flavour carriers, are completely retained. Optimal limescale stabilisation and efficient filtering of harmful substances always results in optimum water quality for a perfect coffee flavour.
Automatic filter recognition
JURA uses modern RFID technology to enable a dialogue between the filter and the fully automatic machine. Every machine with the intelligent water system (I.W.S.®) automatically recognises when a filter is inserted, automatically switches to filter mode and starts rinsing. If the filter capacity is nearing its end, the fully automatic machine indicates that the filter needs to be changed. If this is not done, the appliance activates descaling mode. After appropriate use, the request for descaling appears. And this can only take place when the filter has been removed. Incorrect manipulations resulting from misunderstandings are definitely a thing of the past.
